CLEARRAY Active Oxygen™
CLEARRAY Active Oxygen™ technology harnesses the power of air and light to work harder and clean the water longer. It’s an advanced oxidation process that destroys contaminants and waterborne pathogens while using up to 75% less chlorine.
Standard equipment on:
Jacuzzi® demonstrates a strong commitment to clean water. That’s why you’ll find patented multi-stage filtration in addition to CLEARRAY Active Oxygen™ on all Jacuzzi® branded Swim Spas and Acrylic Hot Tubs.
Swim Spas
Exercise, train, and recover in sparking clear water that stays that way, even after a rigorous aquatic workout.
Acrylic Hot Tubs
Your hot tub is supposed to be an escape, not another chore. Our hands-free approach keeps things single.
This hands-free approach to water care uses the power of nature inspired UV-C light and Ozone to work harder and clean your water better, for longer.
More common in pools, and available on some hot tubs, salt chlorine generators use electricity and chemical reactions to create chlorine from dissolved salt. Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs do not use salt systems.
An advanced, odor-free choice for clear water. This sophisticated system uses nature-inspired ultraviolet light to neutralize pathogens in the water so they cannot reproduce.
Simple, easy water care using chlorine or bromine. An approved sanitizer is added on a weekly basis or as needed, to destroy bacteria, viruses, and ward off algae growth.
Clean water, inspired by nature
Ozone is formed when individual oxygen molecules are split into two free oxygen atoms. When a newly freed oxygen atom collides with another oxygen molecule, they bond, forming ozone. Ozone is a much stronger oxidizer of contaminates than plain oxygen because the extra oxygen atom is unstable. It breaks loose when exposed to organic material or other contaminants, oxidizing and destroying them in the process.
UV sanitization harnesses the power of ultraviolet light to eliminate microorganisms, lower chemical usage, and eliminate toxic by-products. Ultraviolet spa disinfection units emit a high intensity light that alters or disrupts the DNA of targeted organisms such as algae, bacteria, and water-borne illness.
Advanced Oxidation Process
AOP is the Advanced Oxidation Process. When germicidal UV light (UV-C) and ozone react the result is the production of hydroxyl radicals. This reaction is known as Advanced Oxidation Process, or AOP. Hydroxyl radicals (•OH) are the most powerful oxidation agents available, quickly destroying bacteria, viruses, pathogens and other contaminants that occur in the water. Hydroxyl radicals also destroy chlorine resistant microorganisms, such as Cryptosporidium Parvum, Giardia and E.Coli.
