Glimmerglass Pools is located on the edge of the Old Erie Canal in Fort Plain, New York. They are a company with a clear goal- to responsibly, and with integrity, make and market the best quality fiberglass pools possible using locally and nationally sourced raw materials.

Product excellence begins with the manufacturing process. Glimmerglass uses only the highest quality materials, and adheres to strict standards in the building process for each pool. Our pools are hand-laid, using the best quality gel-coat, and with 100% vinyl ester resin. Vinyl ester is a premium-grade resin specifically blended to prevent an unwanted process called osmotic blistering—a phenomenon where the gelcoat surface forms actual blisters and separates from the next laminate layer.

Hand Laid Fiberglass
All of GlimmerGlass fiberglass pools are constructed with hand laid fiberglass using only Solid Sheets of Fiberglass. GlimmerGlass does not use Chop Fiberglass, which is common among other manufacturers in the industry.
Durability
Fiberglass is much stronger and more flexible than other materials used in the manufacture of pools. Glimmerglass starts with a multi-layer fiberglass, which creates uniform thickness and uses the modern high-quality fiberglass gel - coated surface that will not crack, chip, peel, blister or discolor.

Some notable benefits with Aboveground Pools
Lower Cost
Aboveground pools are simply less expensive than an inground pool! Installation typically takes an afternoon, and then you're ready to fill from a garden hose or other source and get swimming!
Temporary or Permanant
With an aboveground pool that has been installed completely on-ground, you have the freedom to relocate it to a new home or new location in the yard, even dismantle it entirely if you need! Aboveground pools are not permanent installations.
Space Allocation
If you're working with a limited amount of backyard space, an aboveground pool might be a great fit! Aboveground pools don't require a concrete surround, and typically allow installation closer to a property or fence line. Both Round and Oval shapes can fit most spaces.
Safety
Aboveground pools are inherently a safer alternative to an inground pool. With an aboveground pool, the pool wall itself typically acts as a barrier which prevents accidental falls. Pools above 48" in height don't need separate fences. No floor suction means less entrapment risk.
