Behind the Brand
Founded in 1983, Kingsley Bate was the first American company to manufacture furniture from Javanese teak — a milestone that set the gold standard for luxury outdoor living. Working in partnership with the Indonesian government, the brand helped pioneer a responsibly managed teak program that balances exceptional craftsmanship with environmental stewardship.

The material’s pedigree.
